Bright had a plan to bring greener energy to everyone. But while most of us are passionate about a sustainable future, we aren’t passionate about our energy provider.
Armed only with a name and a vision, they challenged us to develop a brand that would bring their idea to life, and appeal to the average consumer.

By putting people in control of their energy, Bright were creating a service that allowed people to protect the planet while saving time and money. We needed a brand that reflected this offering.
Our aim was to create a brand that felt dynamic, contemporary and accessible.

A ‘B’ THAT’S BURSTING WITH ENERGY
Bright is a tech first company with energy at the heart of everything they do, and the logo we created is no different.
Made to stand out from the usual logos found in the energy sector, it packs personality and animates with ease – representing the current that runs through everything that Bright do.
To overcome the public apathy towards energy brands we developed a tone of voice that allowed us to speak to the public in a way that felt grounded, genuine and warm. This we supplemented with a bespoke typeface. Hand-drawn in-house, by digital designer Megan, this typeface brings an honest, playful and more relatable voice to the energy market.
ALWAYS ON. IN THE PALM OF YOUR HAND
We created a bespoke quote experience with a fresh and energetic new website that allowed prospective customers to switch to Bright Energy in minutes, save money and do their bit for the good of the planet at the same time.
As well as that, the Bright Energy app gave users control over their contract in an intuitive and engaging way form the palm of their hand.
The intention was to create a brand for Bright Energy that felt bright, always on and never dull. To look and behave like a customer-centric business, fully invested in the future of energy as well as the planet.
